"Terrorist Escape" Gameplay Notes --------------------------------- Directly from the Counter-Strike manual (with minor clarifications, corrections, and formatting): "Terrorist Escape" is a Counter-Strike gameplay type where the Terrorists must escape from the Counter-Terrorists. The Terrorist team starts out in a fortified location with only their basic starting weapons and equipment, and must "escape" to one of the pre-defined escape points (look for the green "E" icon displayed on your HUD). The Counter-Terrorists must eliminate the Terrorists before they can escape. The Terrorists win the round once 50% of the team has successfully escaped. If the round ends, with at least 1 player alive on both teams, but less than 50% of the Terrorists have escaped, the Counter-Terrorists will win. Either side can also win the scenario if they manage to eliminate the opposing team. IMPORTANT NOTES: According to the Counter-Strike manual, the two teams will automatically switch roles after every 8 rounds of play. This stated number of rounds does not seem to be correct, as the team switching appears to happen after every 3 or 4 rounds. Also note that according to the Counter-Strike manual, the Terrorists can break into various armories to steal weapons and equipment located throughout a map that is designed for the "Terrorist Escape" gameplay type (or simply try to escape to one of the pre-defined escape points). Due to this feature, the Terrorist team will start each round with only their basic starting weapons and equipment, and will be stripped of any existing weapons and equipment that they have in their possession at the beginning of the round. Note that this weapons and equipment stripping also occurs when the Counter-Terrorist team automatically switches roles to the Terrorist team (see information above).
