Counter-Strike v1.6 Player Models Fix

Question:

When I play regular Counter-Strike it uses the Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
player models. How can I get revert back to the Counter-Strike v1.6 player
models?

Answer:

This happens if you own both Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Counter-Strike.

You cannot delete the GCF (Game Cache File) file to fix this. Steam will still
re-download the Condition Zero player models.

If you prefer the Counter-Strike v1.6 player models, you may manually install
the Counter-Strike v1.6 player models externally to your
"Counter-Strike\CStrike\Models\Player" folder, which is typically:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<USER_NAME>\Counter-Strike\CStrike\Models\Player"

1 - Download the Counter-Strike v1.6 player models that you wish to replace:

    "Arctic"   - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/arctic.zip
    "GIGN"     - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/gign.zip
    "GSG9"     - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/gsg9.zip
    "Guerilla" - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/guerilla.zip
    "Leet"     - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/leet.zip
    "SAS"      - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/sas.zip
    "Terror"   - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/terror.zip
    "Urban"    - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/urban.zip
    "VIP"      - http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/vip.zip

2 -  Extract the player models.

3 - Put each player model in it's own folder, with exactly the same name. Note
    that you will likely have to create your own subfolders within the "Player"
    folder. The folder names must be exactly the same as shown above in quotes
    (minus the quotes, of course).

    There are 9 separate player models. Install each one into the
    "Counter-Strike\CStrike\Models\Player" folder as described above.

4 - Next, install the pictures for these player models. First, you must create
    the subfolders "CStrike\Gfx\VGUI".

    Download the player model pictures from
    http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/7801-OEMR-6160/CS_old_model_pics.zip,
    and extract the files to the "VGUI" folder.
