様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様 Street Light Simulator Version 4.0b 様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様 Welcome to Street Light Simulator Version 4.0b! This e-pub was inspired by Mathijs Kok's article, "Street Light Simulator", which is a humorous look at flight simming throughout the years. You can find his article [STREET.ZIP] in the Sim Games Forum on Compuserve, and on the internet at: www.simflight.com. *NOTE: The Street Light Simulator pictured in his article is an alpha version of SLS95 . To install, simply copy the enclosed files to any directory on your hard drive. To start Street Light Simulator, type SLS4 at the DOS prompt. You can operate the simulator with either the mouse or the keyboard (it works just like Flight Simulator ). Sorry, no yoke/pedal support yet . If you have any problems running the program, try booting up clean with a bootup disk before running Street Light Simulator (MSDOS 6.x users, hold down the key while re-booting to do a clean boot). Also some of these command line parameters may help. The following are options which may be typed after the "SLS4" command when starting the program. You may use more than one option in the command line. If you will be using a command line option on a regular basis, you should include the command and option(s) in a batch file and run the batch file to start Street Light Simulator. See your DOS documentation for information on creating batch files. /A = This option prevents Street Light Simulator from attempting to initialize a sound card or the PC's internal speaker. Usage: SLS4 /A /B = If Street Light Simulator has difficulty in identifying the audio card due to an interrupt conflict, using this option will prevent the program from checking to see if a sound card is present on the system. Usage: SLS4 /B /D = This option displays a small info screen useable for diagnosing video card problems. Usage: SLS4 /D /G = This option is used to select another video mode to run Street Light Simulator in. This will display a menu of video modes available on the system. Usage: SLS4 /G /Kx = This option causes Street Light Simulator to start up in the various modes (i.e. day, night, lights on, etc...). Specify a number in place of the x following the command option. Valid ranges are 1-8. Usage: SLS4 /K2 /M = This option disables sound card checking. Usage: SLS4 /M Registration is cheap but NOT free. Also if I ever create an upgrade to 5.0a, NONE of your subLightpost (tm) sceneries will work with it and the damn sound with an SB-16 STILL won't be fixed! Known Bugs (around the lights at night, that is ): I am "...researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available." (hmmm... now THAT sounds familiar, doesn't it ?).
