SIM3D.NFO Why? ==== I have too many plane files in my directory due to hyperactivity of cetrain AAF artists. This small program takes care of this to some extent, by showing you selected planes, enabling you to sort things out a little better than by using the brilliant plane menu option in our favourite program. Moreover you may create a DXF file to be used with your favourite CAD program (print, plot etc.) Actually, SIM3D has been partially extracted from the plane view option in SC1MAP (a scenery file viewer and manager), but works fine with me as a stand-alone tool. This program was written in MS Basic PDS. How? ==== SIM3D is quite stupid, it needs both the SIM file and the extentionless file. E.g.: B727UA__.SIM and B727UA__. If you want to view some specific files, then type SIM3D with a sensible filespec like: SIM3D AB310KLM SIM3D B727* Type SIM3D if you want the program to simply scroll through the .SIM files in your local directory (if there are any). What? ===== Just look at the screen and see which options might be useful to you: [ESC] exit SIM3D [+] zoom in [-] zoom out [1] top view [2] front view [3] side view [4] "3D view" in [4]: [CURSOR UP] turn nose up [CURSOR DOWN] turn nose down [CURSOR LEFT] rotate left [CURSOR RIGHT] rotate right [R] reset 3D view [H] show one half of the plane (to avoid transparencies) [N] next .SIM file (if you entered a possible wildcard) [L] last .SIM file " [I] show plane information (designer etc.) [D] DXF output to filespec.DXF When? ===== Written in the month of June 1993 during the depressingly dull period of time used to write SC1MAP 1.0 or what should one day be SC1MAP 1.0. How much? ========= Nothing. The world is material enough anyway, and besides, noone would even send me a new penny for this kinda stuff. I'm declaring this stuff freeware, enjoy it. Try not to get caught selling this program for even one penny or you'll regret it. This program may be spread via elctronic data transfer, public domain, private or any other type of BBS system. For any distribution of this work quantities on *media* for profit or other you MUST contact the author (me) for permission. This includes being copied and sold for profit or distribution fee via mail, person, book, magazine, catalog, etc. Questions? ========== Enrico Schiratti K”lner Str. 198a D-47805 Krefeld +49-2151-396234 +49-2151-311247 (Fax) BBS/MAIL: FSFAN-NET CIS 100137,457
