Space Warp Skins for LockJaw ============================ Created by Rich „Weeds„ Nagel Overview -------- This archive contains two new replacement skins for version 0.41 (or newer) of Damian Yerrick's EXCELLENT "LockJaw" Tetris-styled tetromino game. Find out more about this great freeware Tetris game at http://www.pineight.com/lj on the Internet! The skins feature a new background image created from a picture taken by the Hubble Space Telescope (with pit borders created using graphics from the pit portion of the "Story" mode background images of THQ's "Tetris Worlds" game for the PC), two types of block images, and color scheme. The original picture used for the background image (95-44A.JPG) was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995, and is a picture of the "Eagle Nebula" (also known as "M16", the 16th object in the Messier catalog), which is a nearby star-forming region 7,000 light-years away in the constellation "Serpens". Visit the Press Release site for the Eagle Nebula on the Internet at http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/1995/44 and read all about this phenomenal looking outer space wonder! The skins also include replacement background music as well (one of my own older music compositions "Space 1", originally composed for Team LUC's unfinished and unreleased retail add-on for id Software's "Quake II" game for the PC). Note that this so-called "music" is more akin to ambient background droning sound effects rather than music, and is really not melodic at all... but it sounded quite "spacey" to me ! Files Included in this Archive ------------------------------ Note that this archive includes two versions of the new replacement skins. The skins that have "(LR)" contained in their filenames should be used when LockJaw's "Playfield Position" option is set to "Left" or "Right" (as well as in the future, when LockJaw eventually supports multi-player games), while the other skins should be used when the game's "Playfield Postion" option is set to "Middle". Skin: "Space Warp Skin" - Created using a picture from the Hubble Space Telescope, and the pit portion of the "Story" mode background images of THQ's "Tetris Worlds" game for the PC. To upgrade the Space Warp Skins for LockJaw from any previous versions, simply overwrite the existing files within the same directories. Usage ----- Simply run LockJaw, and then select your choice of one of the following four "SKIN" files from within the game's "Skin" menu. As previously mentioned, the skins that have "(LR)" contained in their filenames should be used when LockJaw's "Playfield Position" option is set to "Left" or "Right", while the other skins should be used when the game's "Playfield Postion" option is set to "Middle". For the sticky connected blocks skins, set LockJaw's "Gluing" option to "Sticky" within the game.
